Imagine a world where older women wanting to change the narrative for female ageing actually knew that each other existed. A space where we shared our ideas, our projects and our work from our tiny corners of the world, and considerately cheered each other on.
Crones of the world, let’s not wait for permission.

The aim of the 1,000 crones experiment is to bring together 1,000 kick-ass crones from around the world to see what happens… The Network of Networks, the Crone Club of Clubs! Let’s face it, networking has worked pretty well for the patriarchy - their golf clubs, gentleman’s clubs, rotary clubs, strip clubs, freemasons - not to mention the more horrific ones operating in plain sight.
As the extreme right is once again rearing his ugly head across all our countries, the rights of women and girls are once again under threat, and yet feminists are more divided than ever.
IT HAS NEVER BEEN MORE IMPORTANT for older women to come together to support each other and keep each other sane.
what will the 1,000 crone network do? what format will it take?
Once our first 12 crones have made the pledge, we can get together on a Zoom to decide. Initially, I thought we could simply share each other’s projects/what positive work is going on in their part of the world. But first, I thought we could go out to our networks see if we can get 1,000 kick-ass crones to make themselves visible by adding themself to the ‘Crone Map of Maps!’ 👇🏽

What if wherever you went in the world, there’s a like-minded crone to connect with? Pick their brains at least! As a starter for 10, make the pledge and you’ll receive an invitation to add yourself and/or your organisation to the Crone Map of the World. Then we can each forward the invite to five kick-ass crones from our own networks?

To kick off, we’re looking for our first 12 founding crones to make the pledge, then we’ll meet on Zoom. As with any movement, it starts with just one person, reaching out to a couple of like-minded others.

You will become an official Crone Club 1,000 Crones Member!
You will be invited to put yourself on the Crone Map of Maps and start connecting with crones from around the world!
Initially we could come together a few times a year online for a couple of Zoom meet ups a year to connect, share positive crone-related stuff from your area of the world to make us all feel a bit better and less alone!
We can decide on the best way of connecting online, but for now we could use the Crone Club Private Members Facebook Group to connect and share our work and content from our cities/regions/countries.
The chance to become a ‘Crone Correspondent’ for your town/city/region/country - to share positive crone stuff from your area with the rest of the world. 🌍 🇫🇷 🇨🇦 🇬🇧 🇦🇺 🇺🇸 🏴 🇯🇵 🇫🇲
Members would also be welcome to take over the Crone Club’s Substack ‘Tits to the Wind!’ to celebrate the work and stories of older women in your country/region/city.
